TradingView alert

Definition

A TradingView alert is a notification that fires when a condition you set is met, such as price crossing a level or an indicator printing a signal, and reaches you in the app, as a pop-up or by email. At the time of writing, the free Basic plan includes only a few price alerts, and alerts on indicators need a paid plan. Our TradingView alerts guide covers the limits.

Example

Say a stock trades at $48 and you set a TradingView alert for price crossing above $50. The alert runs on TradingView’s servers, so it can fire and reach your phone or email even with your chart closed. Set to trigger only once, it then stops; with a repeating setting, it can fire again each time price crosses back above $50, which can mean several alerts on a choppy day.
