Futures

MNQ (Micro E-mini Nasdaq-100)

Definition

A futures contract worth $2 times the Nasdaq-100 index, one-tenth of NQ. One 0.25-point tick is worth $0.50.

Example

Say the Nasdaq-100 is at 20,000, so one MNQ contract represents $40,000 of the index (20,000 × $2). A 50-point move equals 200 ticks of $0.50, or $100 per contract, while the same move on one NQ would be $1,000. Ten MNQ contracts therefore carry the same exposure as a single NQ.

Hypothetical numbers, for illustration only.
